Oklahoma, every night my honey lamb and I

What day are we on now? 5? Whatever it was, it was Allen's graduation day. We just watched some commander lady blab on for 2 hours and then saw them hand out the diplomas. Then I went home and watched TV all night. The pool was closed because of the tornado the night before. All in all it was a pretty boring day and I didn't get many pictures.

Allen graduating!

When the wind comes right behind the rain

So the next day was family day and Allen and Maria's shotgun wedding day. We got up extra early after staying up extremely late and went to Fort Sill to sit and wait in the windy wind. We waited like two hours. Thats the army for you. Always making you wait.

If you know me at all, you would know my favorite way to waste time is to take pictures. So thats what I did while the army was wasting my time yet again.

Bangs in the wind = bad idea.

I ended up just pulling them back.

Haha I love Joey. He is my second best friend.

Again, he is just my favorite kid EVAR!!!

This is Rohaan waiting to see daddy Allen

Just blowing you some kisses!

We finally got to see Allen, and Maria hogged him the whole time! Just kidding. This pictures makes me sick. Ew they're so lovey dovey obnoxious.

This was right after they got married. I don't have any pictures of the wedding because I was using their camera to take pictures for them. As soon as I get copies I will write a whole entry on their wedding.

We went to Red Lobster afterwards and I made Joey eat a lemon just so I could get a picture of this.

And then later that night we were in a tornado! I know, right?! This is the hotel lobby which is supposedly tornado-proof. Well, tornado-safe. I don't know that anything is completely tornado proof.

And this is my dad watching the tornado. I couldn't get a picture of it.

And the wavin' wheat can sure smell sweet

Day 3
We just sat around the pool all day. Allen's family day wasn't until day 4, so we had nothing to do but chill. It was my favorite day.

Joey can't swim. I took a picture of him not swimming.

Eric thought his phallic shaped chicken from the Golden China Buffet was hilarious and took 10+ pictures of it with my camera while I was off talking to Josh on the phone. What a nub.

I got Joey a hippo floatie and Rohaan adopted it. I would have stolen it back but he looks so darn cute floating around in it.

Eric looks just like the hippo

He stole it from Rohaan so he could play with it himself.

I took a few pictures. I know they'll come in handy when I want a favor from him someday.

Awwwweeeeee.....

Rohaan and Eric floating around the pool.

Eric is going to make such a good uncle

If he could catch him

This is Rohaan after Eric didn't catch him. He "drownded".

This concludes day 3. Day 4 will be posted tomorrow.

OKLAHOMA where the wind comes sweeping through the plains

ROAD TRIP 2008:

Allen and Maria got married in Lawton, OK. It was the day before he graduated basic training. We drove there. Wish we hadn't. I hate airline ticket prices.

We left around 7pm on Sunday the 7th, drove for about 7 hours then stayed in a shady motel in Cortez.

I had the privilege of sharing a bed with Katee and Joey that night. If any of you think you sleep with a bedhog, you should appreciate your bed-mate. I was sleeping in the middle of them and when I came back from using the bathroom Katee had gone from smothering me to smothering Joey.

Just waking up and smelling Joey's breath.

Rohaan and Joey. They are BFF.

We went to four corners and here is a picture of me bartering with the Injuns. This time I paid them much more than the shiny bead they gave me was worth.

Joey, my full time photographer, yelled "Blue steel!" at me, and so as not to disappoint my fans, I gave them what they wanted. Thats Eric on the left and my Daddy on the right.

If I punch you from another state can you still file assault charges? Notice Rohaan punching towards the camera. He's such a glory hog.

Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico stink so I stayed on the utah side while I ate my five dolla snow cone. Ok it was really 50 cents, I would NEVER pay that much money for sugar-ice.

Napping in four states. The ground was so hot I had burns afterwards.

The inevitable happened: We got a flat tire.

This is me swearing when I realized we had a flat tire. Notice you can see me starting to form the letter "F". Don't worry, no children were in the car.

Waiting for our tire to be fixed. Joey wanted in my car so I made him earn it by making sad faces against my glass.

Katee finds shade wherever she can. It was over 100 degrees.

And this is the only picture I got while driving through Albequerque. Why? It was nothing special.

So that was day 1 and 2 of our trip. I'll work on day 3 and on when I feel like it. Might take a while. I'm pretty lazy.

Liberty park!

Katee, Joey and I

So last sunday I had the opportunity to take Cassidy, Katee, Chelsea, Joey, Rohaan and Maria to Liberty Park. Katee heard the hippie drums and joined in the dancing almost immediately - the hippies loved it. With her flowery shirt and long, unkempt hair she looked right at home.

We saw this little kid riding his bike around in his undies by the wading pool and I had to get a picture. The girls kept giggling at him. I told them to grow up but I was laughing on the inside.

Chelsea decided that no sign saying "you must be under this height to ride" would stop her.

One thing I love about Liberty Park: I'm the minority.

I love spending time with those little kids when they haven't had too much sugar in them. But I have to admit I will never have that many. Just a couple hours with them could drive even the most devout mormon to alcoholism. I don't know how my mom does it (and remains sober)

My guess.

81 days til he gets R&R.

we'll see if he gets it at all, stupid army.
